Introduced in 2024, the SM5212-uSMD is a new product featuring an ultra-compact, surface-mount form factor. Measuring just 1.5 x 1.5 cm (approximately 0.6 x 0.6 inches), it is the smallest RFID module in the market. Despite its size, it does not compromise on functionality or performance compared to its larger counterparts, the SM5210-MINI and SM5211-SMD.
With SMD pads suitable for automated assembly, the SM5212-uSMD is ready for size-constrained applications. This cost-conscious and space-saving option enables OEMs to seamlessly integrate contactless card reading into their products, from access control systems to customer loyalty programs.
