SMW1024 is a professional evaluation kit for SMW240 modules. SMW1024 evaluation kit can be used to develop your application quickly or it can simply demonstrate main features of the SMW240 module.

SMW1024 kit may also be used to as a stand alone interface between two communicating device by using Wireless RS232 mode. If the existing device, or your new project communicating with RS232/UART/Serial, SMW1024 can be used to replace serial cable/wire provided that the system meets the requirements told in section 2.2 Wireless RS232 in SMW240 Datasheet.

Users can develop or evaluate their own specific application with the kit. Kit can be either connected to PC thru serial port (or USB-Serial converter) or any other peripheral device thru UART interface. SMW1024 provides PC connectivity, 2+2 I/O pins for SMW240 modules.

SMW RF Software makes easy to start with SM1024 evaluation kit. Software provides commands for built-in protocol, configures the module, and also supports Wireless RS232 mode. Software has also Wireless Chat feature that allows two device to communicate each other with chat style.

SMW1024 evaluation kit communicates with PC by RS232 (DB9 jack) serial port at different baud rates from 9600bps to 115200bps (19200bps default)
