Mifare Product List
General InformationSM130/132 Mifare® Read/Write module is the first low cost solution of the industry for Mifare® applications. It supports Mifare® Classic 1K (1KByte), Mifare® Classic 4K (4KByte)and Mifare® Ultralight (512 bit). SM130 is designed for general industrial applications and SM132-USB is designed for PC based aplications. Mifare® Classic, often called contactless smart card, is most widely used and has been selected most successful contactless smart card technology. Mifare® Classic family of tags is being used in RFID applications where very high security and fast data collection systems are required. This family of tags has fast contactless communication speed (106 Kbit/s) and uses very strong encryption techniques. It is not possible to copy or modify the content of the Mifare® Classic family of tags without the correct key(s) when it is protected. This high security is approved and tested by VISA and TNO. As a result, Mifare® is ideal for e-money applications, secure access, data storage and fast data collection systems. In addition, printed antenna technology makes it possible to find very thin and low cost Mifare tags (e.g. labels, stickers) increasing the applications in the field of RFID. Designing a Mifare® application with SM130 will only take a few days. The module itself performs all demodulation, decoding, encyption and decyprition operations. Users never need to know about the RFID concept and the only knowledge required is to know how to control the module by external controller over UART or I2C bus with simple protocols explained in device datasheets.
