SM125-M1 is a 28 pin DIP (600 mil, wide) package type module including all neccessary components for 125 KHz RFID Reader/Programmer except for only the antenna/inductor.

SM125-M1-232 is same module with SM125-M1 but coming with ST232 IC (RS232 driver chip) on the bottom layer of the PCB to provide ready connection to the PC or RS232 device.

SM125-IC and the passive components of the the analog front are assembled on the SM125-M1 module PCB, saving time and provides real "ready-to-use" functionality.

SM125-M1 has tremendous features. Unlike any competitors' chip, SM125-IC used on the module, performs all complicated RFID processes such as amplifiying, filtering, demodulating, decoding and digitizing, automatically and make the tag data ready to be sent over UART-RS232 / I2C / Wiegand 26-bit / Custom defined protocol and can trigger Buzzer/LED/Relay circuit.

SM125-M1 and SM125-M1-232 can be controlled over UART-RS232 /I2C or with its most valuable and unique feature can behave as automated without requiring any external controller.

SM125 chip and module include bootloader and can be upgraded over UART-RS232. For specific applications or requirements, SonMicro is able to modify the firmware and the hardware according to customer needs.
